5. Kappad Beach


Located in Kozhikode, Kappad beach witnessed the historic event of Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama landing in Kerala back in 1498. Travelers can witness a stone plaque that marks the event. The tranquil beach town is small but captivating in every sense. You can view the traditional activities of local fishermen(Known as "Superman" after Kerala Flood Rescue), who stood as the pillar while Kerala faced its worst calamity in recent history.
The fishing hamlets and endless sand add beauty to the surroundings. The beach is primarily less crowded and offers a perfect beachside retreat. Rocky outcrop extends to the sea adding more beauty to the sands and scenic ocean views.
